Baywaves announce new EP ‘It’s Been Like’

Following ‘Down 4 U’ and ‘Gliss’ last year, Madrid-based indie-poppers Baywaves are back with their first slice of new music this year and details of an upcoming EP.

‘It’s Been Like’ is coming out on 18th May through Art Is Hard Records. It’s been recorded in Subiza in the north of Spain. The band have also shared the lead track from the collection, ‘Still In Bed’, which was recorded alongside Hans Krüger (Delorean, John Talabot) at Krüger’s studio in the region. Appropriately, it’s filled with summer sunshine, with shimmering, psych-and-funk-inflected guitar riffs and hazy, mellowed-out vocals.

The band are also set to play 12 shows – yes, that’s right, a whopping 12 shows! – in Austin at SXSW next week.
