Beach Baby, Pumarosa, Willie J Healey to play DIY Presents’ Hello 2016
Next year, we’ll be hosting the best new bands with four free gigs at The Old Blue Last, London.
Alright, the Christmas decorations haven’t been put up yet and nobody’s had a chance to think about their album of the year, but it’s time to talk 2016.
Every year, DIY teams up with London’s The Old Blue Last to put up four free nights in January, featuring the best new bands ready to take the upcoming year by storm. Wolf Alice played one of their first ever gigs for Hello 2013. Honeyblood, Superfood and Jaws have taken similar steps. And this year we had Oscar, Demob Happy and Girl Band setting the agenda for 2015.
We’re very excited to announce the initial bill for Hello 2016, with loads more confirmed acts to be revealed soon.
Gigs run on the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th of January. London four-piece Beach Baby are in the first wave of acts. They’re joined by the very new, very exciting Pumarosa. There’s also Liverpool-based crooners Trudy, the ferocious force of Brighton’s Abattoir Blues, the fierce experimentalism of Cloud Castle Lake and the go-to new songwriter in the game, Willie J Healey.
For a full guide to the acts confirmed so far, see below our snazzy poster.
RSVP here to get January booked up. Please note: All shows are 18+. Bring ID.
