Best Friends share video for ‘Cold Shapes’
The Sheffield four-piece release their debut album ‘Hot. Reckless. Totally Insane’ later this week.
Sheffield band Best Friends have shared the video for their latest single, ‘Cold Shapes’. The track appears on the four-piece’s debut album - ‘Hot. Reckless. Totally Insane’ - which is due out on July 10th via FatCat Records.
Taking its name from a skateboarding film, ‘Thrashin,” the band’s debut record arrives off the back of four years hard graft. “We’ve proved that we can write good songs over the course of four years,” the band’s Lewis Sharman told DIY in a recent interview. “We’ve proved ourselves. It’s nice to be able to look back and think that.
The new video to match the band’s latest single, ‘Cold Shapes,’ is a wash of psychedelic, kaleidoscopic double exposures, and seeing double. The fidgety, anxious drums urge things forward, and then let’s not forget that chorus. This is Best Friends’ most immediate, infectious track yet.
Later this month Best Friends head out on UK tour. You can catch the band at the following dates:
JUL
13 Manchester, Gullivers
14 Bristol, Louisiana
15 Brighton, Hope & Ruin
16 London, Sebright Arms
17 Southampton, Lennon’s
18 Birmingham, Sunflower Lounge
19 Glasgow, Broadcast
21 Leeds, Oporto
We’re dead chuffed to be premiering Best Friends’ new video for ‘Cold Shapes’ here on DIY. Have a watch below.
