Best Friends sign to FatCat, stream ‘Shred Til You’re Dead’ track

Sheffield four-piece Best Friends have announced details of a new single, ‘Shred Til You’re Dead’. Backing the DIY-or-die motifs of their early singles (previous ditty ‘Happy Anniversary’ was a surefire winner on Art Is Hard), this latest cut refines their rough edges into something more tangible, an ode to lost youth that’s as relatable as it is catchy.

This is the band’s first single since signing to FatCat Records, with ‘Shred Til You’re Dead’ being given away as a free download. DIY’s got the first play, below, and it’s a fine continuation from the promise of old, backed with an extra, swaggering step, a further dose of confidence.
