BIG SPECIAL share ode to slowing down, ‘SLUGLIFE’

The pair have described the new single as a song “about working through the self hate that can come through hard times.”

Black Country band BIG SPECIAL share ode to slowing down, 'SLUGLIFE'

BIG SPECIAL are back with their latest track ‘SLUGLIFE’ - a moody, blues-tinged cut that sees Joe Hicklin and Callum Maloney accept the necessity of taking it easy on yourself.

Acting as a follow up to recent releases ‘PLAINTIVE NATIVE’ and ‘DRAGGED UP A HILL (and thrown down the other side)’ - as well as their Sleaford Mods and Gwendoline Christie collab ‘The Good Life’ - ‘SLUGLIFE’ continues the run of raw, arresting tracks which the duo have delivered since the arrival of second album ‘NATIONAL AVERAGE’ last July.

Sharing more about the inspiration behind their latest, Joe has explained that ‘SLUGLIFE’ is “a song about living low to the ground and going slow. Feeling guilt for needing a bit of time to pull yourself up by your boot straps. It’s about working through the self hate that can come through hard times.”
