Black Honey have announced the departure of drummer Tom Dewhurst.

The band - who released their self-titled debut album back in September last year - said in a statement “he is going to be a real grown up and live his life,” and “we feel honoured and privileged to have had this incredible journey together.”

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we have to tell you our beloved Tom dew is departing us. He is going To be a real grown up and live his life. I really wish I could tell you an exciting and dramatic story about how we got into a bare knuckle fight backstage at a festival and he stormed out but boringly that didn’t happen. He is going on his choice and on good terms. Knowing this for a while has been a total rollercoaster, in part as painful as sleeping with an ex and in part as fun and silly as our first ever tour. To say we are gonna miss him is a wild understatement. Tom we wish you so well in ur journey and feel honoured and privileged to have had this incredible journey together. No one has made it more special, and no one could ever replace you.The love we have for you is life long. You are family. We are stoked that you chose to do the second record with us and just incase you were wondering: Tom there is always a tambourine waiting for you on this stage. Tonight will be our last show together in Utrecht let’s make it one to remember! With all the love in this weird wild and wicked world. Iz Tommy Chris
