Black Honey channel their inner Kubrick in video for returning single ‘Psycho’
It’s the first we’ve heard from the indie-rock favourites since 2023.

After a year’s break, Black Honey are back with ‘Psycho’ - a sucker-punch of a new single that visually takes cues from sci-fi classics like A Clockwork Orange and Frankenstein.
It’s the band’s first release since third album ‘A Fistful Of Peaches’ landed in 2023, and sees them turn their artistic gaze from that era’s Wes Anderson-influenced aesthetic towards something markedly creepier.
“’Psycho’ is a nonsensical, down the rabbit hole feeling of being a voyeur in something that feels really surreal,” frontwoman Izzy B. Phillips has said of the track. “It’s about wondering if this life is “the movie”, maybe it’s written badly. A bit of nihilism and escape with a bigger look at the mundane, the psychotic and the existential.”
Watch this space for more to come from Black Honey over the next few months; in the meantime, though, you can grab the popcorn and settle in to watch the cinematic video for ‘Psycho’ below.
Plus, Black Honey have also scheduled a trio of underplay shows in Manchester, Brighton, and London next month - catch them make their live return on the following dates:

15 Manchester, Night & Day
16 Brighton, Pattern
17 London, Omeara
