Tongue-twister
Black Honey stream new demo, ‘The Taste’
It’s three out of three for this promising, WhatsApp-obsessed new band.

Dosed up on ‘90s staples and taking notes from Wolf Alice’s recent heady ascent, Brighton’s Black Honey have made it three out of three in the ‘promising demo stakes’.
Remaining anonymous, their third track ‘The Taste’ takes the strung out, woozy quality of ‘Teenager’ and ‘Sleep Forever’ and aims for the skies. Early-Howling Bells comparisons ensue, but there remains a distinct sense of intrigue backing this part-sleazy take on impassioned grunge.
That’s only been upped by the fact that Black Honey seem pretty happy to message fans on WhatsApp. Give ‘em a text on 07578 533359 to share some of the love, or at least to feel slightly less lonely for a few seconds.
