Blaenavon - My Bark Is Your Bite

‘My Bark Is Your Bite’ is the third taster of Blaenavon’s upcoming debut album - “another slice of album pie” as the band call it - and it sees the band take a pensive turn away from the grit of its predecessors ‘Let’s Pray’ and ‘I Will Be The World’.

With a spiky opening guitar line that sounds like it’s lifted from ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’, ‘My Bark Is Your Bite’ folds out into something more representative of the track’s lyrics, and Ben Gregory’s tales, which are growing ever darker.

“I lie because my mind says it’s the best thing to do,” he sings in the track’s chorus, and ‘My Bark Is Your Bite’ sees Blaenavon adapting and travelling down darker paths - it’s a suit that fits impeccably.
