Ben Gregory shares new track ‘god bless you’
The singer’s debut album comes out this Friday
Ben Gregory’s latest track, ‘god bless you’, has been released (5th April). The Blaenavon frontman will release his debut solo album ‘episode’ this Friday (7th April) via Transgressive Records.
To accompany the single, Gregory also released a music video that pays homage to French wave cinema. Watch it below.
‘episode’ details the gruelling recovery process following Gregory’s brief stint in a psychiatric hospital. In a press release, Gregory said it was important “that the representations of different emotions highlight those emotions at their most extreme.”
“That’s how it’s been for me generally, especially during and after bipolar episodes. Depression that couldn’t possibly ever end, guilt that you’ll never get over, yearning that will never be fulfilled, love that will last forever. Silly things like that.”
DIY gave ‘episode’ 4-and-a-half stars in our recent review, writing: “The next instalment of Gregory’s musical career is one worth pausing on.”
