Blur to headline Isle of Wight Festival 2015
The band join Fleetwood Mac, The Prodigy and The Black Keys this June.
Blur have been announced as the Saturday night headliners of this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
With their new album ‘The Magic Whip’ set for release next month, the band will join Fleetwood Mac, The Prodigy, The Black Keys, Pharrell Williams, Paolo Nutini, Jessie Ware, James Bay, Billy Idol, Paul Oakenfold, The Charlatans and many more for the event, taking place between 11-14th June at Seaclose Park.
Speaking about the festival, bassist Alex James said: “The British summer is just not complete without a trip to a festival. We’ve never played Isle of Wight Festival before so we’re really looking forward to this one. And we get to take our tour bus on a boat.”
“These summer shows are going to be quite different to the gigs we did a few years back,” Graham Coxon adds. “We’re excited to play the new record live and we’ll have some surprises in store for the fans too.”
‘The Magic Whip’ - Blur’s first album as a four piece in 16 years - will be released on 27th April.
