Blur’s Dave Rowntree to give advice at The Great Escape’s CMU:DIY event
The drummer will reveal how he finds new acts for his XFM radio show.

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree is to appear at this year’s The Great Escape’s CMU:DIY event this May.
Taking place on the Saturday of the Brighton festival and conference, a full day programme for aspiring artists and songwriters will offer tips and advice, headlined by Rowntree revealing how he discovers new artists to play on his weekly Xfm radio show.
CMU:DIY is free to all Great Escape delegates, with standalone tickets for the CMU:DIY programme available for £15.
Blur are set to release their first album as a four piece in 16 years - ‘The Magic Whip’ - next month. Check out the most recent track to be taken from it, opener ‘Lonesome Street’, below:
