Bon Iver play secret Berlin show, announce ‘22, A Million’ newspaper giveaways

Following in Radiohead’s footsteps..

Last night (28th September), Bon Iver played a secret show in Berlin in the lead up to the release of third album ‘22, A Million’.

The show at the Michelberger Hotel came just days before the band’s collaborative performance in the city alongside the likes of Damien Rice, The National, Nils Frahm and members of alt-J.

Watch footage of the set below.

Yesterday also saw Justin Vernon and co taking a leaf out of Radiohead’s book, and handing out copies of a ‘22, A Million’ newspaper in his hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The album was also reportedly played in full at the bar in town where Vernon’s parents first met.

More newspaper handout locations are being revealed on the band’s Instagram page, with a London event confirmed for tonight (29th September), outside Rough Trade East at 4.30pm.
