The National and Bon Iver recruit over 80 musicians for new Berlin event
Damien Rice, Nils Frahm and members of alt-J are all involved.

After working together on their own Eaux Claires festival, The National and Bon Iver have announced details of a somewhat bonkers new collaborative event to take place in Berlin.
The nameless event will bring together over 80 musicians including Damien Rice, Nils Frahm, Lisa Hannigan and members of alt-J, Poliça, The Staves and more.
The two-day event will take place on the first two days of October, and the organisers say it is ” new material, collaborations, unique arrangements, and dissolving borders.” Pretty fancy. The whole plan for the event seems pretty open-ended, but we at least know they will take place at the city’s Funkhaus studios.
No schedule will be announced for the festival, and there is no clue of which musicians will play together, on which days or at what times, but it all seems pretty exciting. More info can be found here .
