Bon Iver is teasing new music

A preview of things to come from various Justin Vernon collaborations?

Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has been teasing some sneaky video clips from his studio, and it sounds suspiciously like new music of some description. He also - for whatever reason - posted this very confusing piece of video from what looks like the studio’s toilet. Nice!

It’s not clear what project he’s working on in the videos, but we know this much. Justin Vernon has got multiple drum kits in the same room, a bandmate in a Haley Bonar t-shirt (nice choice!) and some audio-visual bobbins playing on a big screen. Bon Iver recently announced a April 2018 collaboration with Minnesota contemporary dance troupe TU-Dance, and an appearance at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption in October this year, so perhaps this could be ahead of one of those?

Over the weekend Bon Iver cancelled their own Mexican festival just ten days after it was announced. Meanwhile, they’ve rescheduled those previously cancelled European tour dates for later this year:

SEPTEMBER
15 Cork, IRE, Opera House
19 Utrecht, NED, Tivoli Vrendenburg
21-23 Paris, FRA, Salle Pleyel
25 Blackpool, UK, Opera House
27-28 Edinburgh, Playhouse
