Bon Iver says he’s working with The Staves on new projects

Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver has said he’s working with The Staves on more projects, seeing the trio as “lifelong collaborators”.

In an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music, Vernon spoke about his desire to keep on collaborating with the sisterly trio.

“I’ve taken away getting a new family. I’m so close to them. They feel like people I’ll always have in my life, no matter what. And musically, I’d like to do more music with them. I’m gonna have them do some recording on some other projects that I’m working on. I see them as lifelong collaborators and friends.”

Speaking about his experience in the studio recording ‘If I Was’, in Wisconsin, Vernon describes the time as “an incredible year” - “I’ve been around a lot of singers and I got to record a lot of singers, but I’ve never seen anything like it live. People give them a lot of credit with being sisters, but it’s not just natural for sisters to sing like that. It’s inspiring to be around.”
