Brian Wilson Reveals Full ‘Re-Imagines Gershwin’ Tour
There are now stops in Manchester and Birmingham.
Brian Wilson has announced the full list of dates for his forthcoming ‘Brian Wilson Re-imagines Gershwin’ tour, where he’ll play the album in its entirety.
In addition to the four in London and Glasgow, there are now stops in Manchester and Birmingham.
Speaking of the project, Wilson has commented: “Along with Irving Berlin, Gershwin basically invented the popular song, but he did something more. He had a gift for melody that nobody has ever equalled, yet his music is timeless and always accessible. This is the most spiritual project I’ve ever worked on.”
The tour will call at:
SEPTEMBER 2011
SUNDAY 11 ROYAL CONCERT HALL GLASGOW
TUESDAY 13 MANCHESTER BRIDGEWATERHALL
WEDNESDAY 14 BIRMINGHAM SYMPHONY HALL
FRIDAY 16 ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL LONDON
SATURDAY 17 ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL LONDON
SUNDAY 18 ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL LONDON
Tickets will go on general sale on 12th November.
