Brooklyn’s HANAH unveils first track ‘Out Of Touch’
Hannah Taxman’s stirring debut requires repeating - listen now.
Here’s something to get excited about: ‘Out of Touch’, the debut track from Brooklyn-based musician Hannah Taxman, is careering into view. It ticks plenty of boxes (murky production, reverb-drenched vocals), but it’s a stranger being than mere blog fodder. Production comes from Luca Buccellatti (Tei Shi), and ‘Out of Touch’ likes to play around. It’s a stop-start, barely-there charm. Double bass drops into focus, muted guitar lines too. Think James Blake’s minimal but striking live set-up, put to tape.
This is HANAH’s debut track. She’s Colorado-born, studied at Boston’s Berklee School of Music, and this is her first roll of the dice.

Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
