Bully links up with Soccer Mommy for new track ‘Lose You’
Bully has also announced new tour dates for this year.
Bully’s Alicia Bognanno has joined forces with Soccer Mommy’s Sophia Allison for new track ‘Lose You’.
Recorded last year, Alicia says, “When ‘Lose You’ came about it was the first time I’ve considered having someone else sing on a Bully song. I love Sophia’s voice and have always admired everything she does so to me it was a no brainer. Watching her soar out of the Nashville scene and dominate indie music world wide has been a joy. Writing ‘Lose You’ was a way for me to work through the pain and reality of impermanence. It doesn’t make it any easier but reflection is often followed by growth and to me that’s what life is all about.”
Last year, Alicia teased that the follow-up to third album ‘SUGAREGG’ was finished and on the way. In our review of ‘SUGAREGG’, we said, “It’s testament to her newfound confidence, mirrored in Bully’s most compelling sound to date. Yet much like the object in the album’s title, ‘SUGAREGG’ is eminently aware of its own fragility under its candy-coated shell, and with it a candid recognition of the fleeting nature of happiness and the work required to hold onto it.”
