Caity Baser unveils new song ‘Why Can’t I Have Two (2468)’
The track also arrives alongside a cheeky surprise B-side.
Breakout pop star Caity Baser has shared not one, but two new tracks: the strutting ‘Why Can’t I Have Two (2468)’, and surprise B-side ‘DILF’. She dropped them after asking fans which she should release first, then, unable to pick, decided to just put out both together.
The former explores empowerment and sexual freedom via tongue-in-cheek lyrics (‘have you never heard of something called menage-a-trois?’), while the latter is a fun, no-filter ditty about fancying an older man.
Of the two tracks, Caity says: “When you like two people for different reasons, why can’t you have two? It’s the debate I’ve been having in my mind and now you can think about it too. You can have two! Fuck it, have 3. […] I made ‘DILF’ about my best friend’s dad hahaha. He’s so hot - he was in the navy and it’s so distracting when I go over. I’ve never made a tune about DILFs before so I’m happy I’ve explored this concept and had so much fun when doing it too.”
