Chandos preview debut album with ‘Cobra Points’

Spitting venom, ‘Cobra Points’ is a blink-and-you-missed-it burst of frustration from Chandos, the latest signing to Carpark Records.

There’s dread, there’s fear and there’s the sarcastic rejoice of “everybody’s ok, everybody’s on your mind”. With Dan Coulson and co., their music sounds like a hundred anxious feelings bubbling up at once into one short burst. The band consists of Coulson and his roommates Sean Tracy and Julian Moore - together, they chant sorry stories from the same page, forcing gold out of countless dead ends. Everything stops, everything starts right up again, and the relentless to-and-fro of this trio feels like it could last forever.

‘Cobra Points’ - premiering on DIY - is taken from the debut album ‘Rats In Your Bed’.
