Charli XCX airs Beats 1 takeover show
As well as unveiling ‘Vroom Vroom’, Charli aired an interview with Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova.
Last night (20th October) saw Charli XCX taking over DJ duties from Julie Adenuga on Beats 1.
Aired from London, Charli’s takeover saw her debuting a new collaboration with SOPHIE - ‘Vroom Vroom’. As well as the new single, Charli spoke to Nadya Tolokonnikova from Pussy Riot, where they discussed some of pop’s biggest names as well as “bad feminism”.
Charli also recounted anecdotes from Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ tour, including when she flew out to Toronto in Taylor’s private jet.
