Charli XCX has put together a documentary about feminism in the music industry, called ‘The F Word and Me’.

Aired last night on BBC Three, the documentary sees her interviewing the likes of Ryn Weaver, Marina & The Diamonds and Hannah Diamond.

“Girls are ruling the charts like never before. So it feels like a great time to be a woman in pop,” Charli opens the documentary by saying. “Young kids are being blasted with what feminism is, and that’s great. But is the male-dominated music industry really changing? And why are our bodies under more scrutiny than ever before?”

Starting in Glastonbury (where she fields interview questions like ‘did you remember to bring your bra?’), she speaks to Izzy Bizu, Ella Eyre and Ibeyi. The trip then heads to Lollapalooza, where she catches up with Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff.
