Charli XCX joins Taylor Swift onstage in Toronto for ‘Boom Clap’

The list of special guests Taylor Swift has unveiled to crowds on her ongoing 1989 Tour has kept on getting better and stranger as the tour continues. From Nelly and Haim to Beck and St. Vincent to Wiz Khalifa, Swift seems to have it all in her back pocket.

Last night (3rd October) Charli XCX became the latest superstar to join the party, performing her track ‘Boom Clap’ with Swift at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Far from taking her now-extensive list of guests for granted, Taylor even sang the verses on her own. A+ on homework.

Charli XCX is having a quiet end to 2015, with no shows scheduled to follow her busy summer of festivals, but she has been revealing participation in upcoming projects, and hinting at new material and collaborations.

Firstly, she’s set to appear on a covers album of Bleachers songs alongside the likes of MØ and Sia, and, perhaps even more excitingly, has confirmed she’s been in the studio with none other than Rihanna to work on her upcoming, long-awaited 8th LP.
