Charli XCX performs ‘I Love It’ and ‘Break the Rules’ at Lollapalooza
She brought ‘Sucker’ cuts to the Chicago music festival, along with her Icona Pop breakthrough track.

Charli XCX performed at Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival over the weekend. Getting a fair majority of the crowd balanced on each other’s shoulders during ‘Break the Rules,’ and thrusting at an unsuspecting cameraman’s head during her breakthrough Icona Pop collaboration ‘I Love It’, it was a typically raucous performance.
Earlier this month Charli debuted a new piece of grunge-rock on tour in Europe, ‘Mow That Lawn’. She also told i-D that she’s already working on her next album, which’ll be “the most electronic thing I’ve done”. In the same interview she confirmed she’s been collaborating with PC Music affiliated producer SOPHIE on “a few things”. She allegedly spun ‘Girl’s Night Out’ - the first preview of their work together - at a DJ set at New York nightclub Output, though the footage has since been taken down.
