Charli XCX unveils brilliant new video for ‘Breaking Up’

It’s tough to top ‘Fancy’, or the Tokyo-trip of ‘Boom Clap’, but the new video for Charli XCX is an ultimate guide to this brilliant pop star.

It begins with her current boyfriend bragging about his rep with the girls. “Even Suzy Cardulo, who’s like, the hottest girl in school,” is into him, and Charli has to sit and listen to him brag. Not for long - the clip soon descends into madness, beginning with the cheeky inclusion of her cover of ‘Allergic To Love’

Following that, it’s all limos, lipgloss, bowling, ice cream and don’t-give-a-fuck brashness. Watch below.

Charli XCX’s new ‘SUCKER’ album is out 15th December in the US. It’s then released on 26th January in the UK.
