Chic announce UK tour dates
March tour to coincide with first single in 23 years.
Chic have announced live tour dates in support of their forthcoming single, ‘I’ll Be There’ – dates that will take the Nile Rodgers fronted outfit to London, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham throughout March.
Despite putting on memorable performances at Glastonbury, Bestival and Festival No.6 in recent years, these shows mark the first ever UK Tour for Chic, and will kick off at London’s Roundhouse on March 20th. The opening night coincides with the “first time and last time in our lifetime there will be a Solar Eclipse on the Vernal Equinox” - being a big astrology fan, this is a massive deal for Nile.
Nile Rodgers said: “Our fans in the UK are some of the greatest in the world so we’re really excited to bring them our new single first… and that’s why we’re coming over to play these live shows next month! See you there.”
Chic ft. Nile Rodgers have also been confirmed as the support for Kylie Minogue’s Hyde Park British Summer Time show on June 21st. A new full-length studio album is expected to land in 2015.
The ‘I’ll Be There Tour’ sees Chic play the follow dates:
MARCH
20 Roundhouse, London
22 O2 Academy, Leeds
23 O2 Academy, Glasgow
24 O2 Apollo, Manchester
25 O2 Academy, Birmingham
