Childcare share new track ‘Put Down Your Pen’
It’s an attention-grabbing new one from the Londoners, who are currently on a headline UK tour.
Back in September, rising talents Childcare released their single ‘Getting Over You (By Dressing Up Like You)’, and this year they’ve also released their debut EP, ‘Made Simple’.
Now the band are back with their latest track ‘Put Down Your Pen’, with Ed Cares giving little away about what’s being the track. He says: “This song is about a penfriendship I had with someone”. It’s an apt bit of intrigue, as the track kicks off with dreamy, descending bass-lines and a soft performance from Ed. Soon though, they introduce a flurry of angular guitar riffs and a rousing hook. It probably will make you put down your pen and listen.
Childcare are also currently on their first ever headline UK tour, which heads to The Castle Hotel in Manchester tonight before heading to Birmingham, Bournemouth, Ramsgate, Bristol, Brighton and rounding off at The Lexington in London. Tickets are on sale now.
