Chvrches performed a song written by a 14-year old for his crush
As part of the Mortified podcast, the Scottish trio re-worked an old love note.
Not content with releasing two flawless albums, Chvrches have turned to letters of unrequited love as inspiration for their latest musical output. As you do.
As part of the aptly named Mortified podcast - in which people share their, well, mortifying stories with the world - the trio took on a song written by a then-14-year-old listener called Nat Miller for his crush, named Laurel. It’s “an ode to all the sensitive lads out there, who wear their hearts on their sleeve,” apparently - shockingly enough, given that description, it’s not completely awful. Listen below at the 25-minute mark.
