Clarence Clarity shares self-produced video for ‘Those Who Can’t, Cheat’
Someone’s grown up hooked on N64 games and trippy animations.
Mind-bending producer Clarence Clarity recently announced plans to release a new EP, following two solid years of masked mystery. ‘WHO AM EYE’ is the sound of the Londoner showing his first hand. Details on his identity are beginning to emerge, as well as the sheer scope of his wild-eyed, off-kilter electronic pop.
In a video for lead track ‘Those Who Can’t, Cheat’, CC’s fucked up imagination bursts into full view. Self-directed and animated, the clip contains scantily clad dancers, 3D T-Rex’s, a fire-breathing scene not dissimilar to Bowser’s Castle on Mario Kart, plus every maddening, old-school graphic effect imaginable. Clarence pops up from time to time, the only recognisable face in a sea of madness.
A debut album is anticipated for early 2015.
DIY’s got the first play of ‘Those Who Can’t, Cheat’’s video below.
