Stunning new track sits leagues outside of convention - a star turn from the Dublin trio.

Following a stirring, otherworldly debut EP, Dublin trio Cloud Castle Lake are stepping things up a gear with their new single, ‘Glacier’
Out 16th March on Happy Valley Records, it follows their idea-packed ‘Dandelion’ debut, opening the band’s curious range even further.
Vocalist Daniel McAuley sounded alien enough last year, but his Jonsi-like vocals are used for a new purpose this time round. It’s backed by perfectly-controlled bedlam, percussion coming off like a rabid Philip Selway, booming piano notes finding their shape as the five minute-plus track progresses. By all accounts it’s the strangest song Cloud Castle Lake have put their name to - it’s also the most accessible, winding its way through treacherous territory with gorgeous abandon.
DIY’s got the first play of ‘Glacier’ below.
