CMAT drops title track of anticipated third album ‘EURO-COUNTRY’
Its accompanying video features a frolic in a shopping centre fountain, obvs.

Everyone’s favourite country-pop star CMAT has offered up another preview of her incoming third album ‘EURO-COUNTRY’ (out on 29th August via AWAL), following the release of her excellently-named previous singles ‘Running/Planning’, ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’, and ‘The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station’.
The new cut is the record’s title track and opener proper, and sums up a trio of key themes threaded throughout the LP. As CMAT explains: “I have certain phrases that reverberate around my head over and over again - and EURO-COUNTRY was one of them. It means three things to me: It’s the kind of country music I make; the fact that Ireland is a European country run by the euro; and that capitalism is one of the worst things to ever happen to us.”
What’s more, ‘EURO-COUNTRY’ has also arrived alongside an instantly-iconic video that sees CMAT pay a visit to her local shopping centre - and its water fountain. Check it out and revisit our August 2023 cover feature with the woman herself down below.
