CMAT returns with news of third album ‘Euro-Country’
The fabulously extra Irish star has also shared its lead single and announced a slew of UK and Ireland tour dates.

CMAT is back, baby! The country-pop favourite has just announced that her next album will be entitled ‘Euro-Country’, and will hit shelves on 29th August via AWAL.
The follow up to 2023’s Mercury Prize shortlisted ‘Crazymad, For Me’, the former DIY cover star’s third outing is, in her words, “the most important record I’ve made”, and promises to be an ambitious exploration of economics, identity, fame, and grief - all delivered with a signature CMAT wink, of course.
“I’m always going to make the work I want to make, because there is a little gremlin in my head that tells me if it’s shit,” she has shared. “More than success, there’s a bigger gremlin that wants me to make music that’s really good. She’s brutal and has ruined my life at times, but she is the keeper of my life and she’s always right.”
To mark the occasion, she’s also unveiled ‘Euro-Country”s lead single ‘Running/Planning’ - a chant-worthy strut that explores the omnipresent pressure on women to be all things to all people. CMAT explains: “You start dating someone, you get engaged, you get married, you have kids etc etc etc… everything has to follow this linear pattern. (That’s the reason for the repetitive chorus!).
And the minute you don’t follow that path, your mam starts giving out to you. That narrow path that everyone is supposed to be on… the minute you get outside of that, it gets incredibly stressful. And I don’t know anyone who is like, ‘Yeah, love this!’”

What’s more, CMAT has also just confirmed that she’ll be hitting the road this Autumn to celebrate the release of ‘Euro-Country’ in style, stopping off in 13 cities around the UK - including London’s iconic Brixton Academy - before concluding in triumphant fashion at Dublin’s 3Arena.
Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday 4th April; check out her full schedule of upcoming live dates here:
