CMAT shares new single ‘The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station’ ahead of new record ‘EURO-COUNTRY’

CMAT has just dropped her latest single, ‘The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station’ - the third teaser to be shared ahead of her forthcoming third LP, ‘EURO-COUNTRY’ (due on 26th August).

The country-alt-pop star says the new track is a reminder to herself to not be so intolerant of others - something we could surely all benefit from! ”The whole point of the song is actually my annoyance and intolerance and hatred of other people serves absolutely no purpose in my life and is a really bad instinct that I have,” she says of the single.

“So it’s actually a love song for Jamie Oliver, if you think about it. It’s me being like ‘don’t be a bitch and stop judging people for annoyances’,” she adds.

The new track follows the now viral single ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’, which has amassed millions of views online due to a TikTok dance trend dubbed ‘The Woke Macarena’. That came after her first release, the earworm-inducing ‘Running/Planning’.

‘EURO COUNTRY’ is due later this summer; and, according to the artist, the record is “the best thing” she has ever made. “I felt halfway through recording it was the most important record I’ve made for myself… mainly because it was making me go crazy,” she has said of the forthcoming release.

The Irish star will be keeping busy this summer with a whole host of festival appearances, including Glastonbury (on Friday 27th June), Tramlines, and Green Man festival.
