Coheed And Cambria Bassist Charged For Armed Robbery

Michael Todd arrested before Soundgarden support slot last night (10th July).

Coheed And Cambria’s Michael Todd has been arrested for armed robbery before the band opened for Soundgarden last night (10th July) in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

According to TMZ the bassist ‘showed a pharmacist a cell phone note that said he had a bomb’ and ‘demanded Oxycontin’, escaping with six bottles of pain killers in a taxi.

Police tracked the vehicle to the venue for the show, charging Todd with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics.

Writing on their official Tumblr, Coheed And Cambria comment:

‘Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled.

We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.’
