Coldplay confirm new album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’

Follow-up to ‘Ghost Stories’ is due out in 2015, with Chris Martin comparing it to Harry Potter.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin has confirmed that the band are back in the studio working on the follow-up to this year’s ‘Ghost Stories’.

Tentatively titles ‘A Head Full of Dreams’, the record is due out in 2015, acting as an extension from this year’s release.

Chris Martin announced the record while sitting down for an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. Coldplay received the #1 award for “hottest record of the year”, and their frontman went on to detail future plans.

Stating that the record is being approached as the “final” part of their current discography, he went on to compare the record to the Harry Potter series.

It’s our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book or something like that. Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something,” he stated.

He further confirmed that Coldplay would be touring their next LP.
