Coldplay stream new track, ‘Miracles’

Coldplay have been given the honours of soundtracking ‘Unbroken’, a forthcoming film directed by Angelina Jolie.

As part of the role, Chris Martin and co. have provided a brand new track in the shapes of ‘Miracles’. Acoustic led and simple to the bone, it’s an extension of 2014 LP ‘Ghost Stories’’ emotional, bare bones minimalism. “Now I’m floating so high, I blossom and die,” sings Martin, providing one of his darkest lyrics yet.

The film documents the story of Louis “Louie” Zamperini, who defied the odds by surviving alone in a raft for 47 days following a plane crash in WWII. Jack O’Connell plays the lead role.

‘Miracles’ soundtracks ‘Unbroken’, out via Universal Pictures. Parlophone releases the official soundtrack on 15th December.
