Coldplay To Headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend In Glasgow

have been announced as this year’s headliners for the Radio 1 Big Weekend, taking place on 24th May.

The free weekender also hosts Paolo Nutini, Pharrell, The 1975, Rita Ora and plenty more names yet to be announced. Coldplay’s involvement was confirmed in an appearance on Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today. They also debuted a new song ‘Oceans’, taken from the forthcoming ‘Ghost Stories’ album. Early impressions suggest it’s the most ‘Parachutes’-like material since the band’s debut album from way back.

‘Ghost Stories’ is released on 19th May through Parlophone. The recently unveiled ‘Midnight’ features, as well as a lead single ‘Magic’.
