Coldplay’s Chris Martin is working with Ricky Gervais on a David Brent mockumentary

Ricky Gervais is bringing back his The Office character David Brent for a new film, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin is providing the soundtrack.

A mockumentary-style film, ‘Life on the Road’, is set to come out on 19th August next year, according to IMDB.

The film is set to document Brent’s post-office life of fulfilling his rock star dreams with nothing but an acoustic guitar by his side (a bit like Johnny Borrell when he’s walking round the streets, finding out about the world).

“Still buzzing from our first studio session this week recording the David Brent soundtrack album,” Gervais tweeted, accompanied by a photo with him and Chris Martin. “Too much fun.”
