CYMBALS have shared a new video for ‘Talk To Me’, a track released in December as part of their 7” ‘What Eternity’ on Tough Love Records.
Speaking to The FADER, frontman Jack Cleverly delved into the concept of the track and its video. “There’s a parallel with the spirit of the chorus to our song ‘Natural World’ (I don’t know enough about you to be kind to you). This theme of the failure of language and the difficultly of communicating love or understanding in this way, is in a lot of our songs.”
The awkward camera glances and nervy hand movements tie together to reflect the uncertainty and self-awareness that underpin the track. “We played about with some ideas that were a bit more tongue-in-cheek, but in the end we felt that the tone of the song deserved something a bit more serious,” video director Paddy Power explained.
CYMBALS have also announced a new pair of dates in addition to their London date at The Lexington in April:

13 Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
14 Buffalo Bar, Cardiff
