Dan Croll returns with 'Swim'

Bespectacled indie man Dan Croll is back with a new song, ‘Swim’. It’s set to appear on his forthcoming second album, which will come out next year on Communion Records.

The single features Stealing Sheep’s Rebecca Hawley, and was recorded with Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Kelis) in Atlanta. ‘Swim’ comes with a suitably aquatic video to match.

Speaking about ‘Swim’s visual Dan Croll said: “I wanted something that got across the swimming metaphor but also got across the more intimate, anxious side of the song.”

“The idea was that I’m away from my partner, spending too much time with my own thoughts and whilst laid in the bath alone, I’m conjuring up images of what could be happening back home, gradually becoming more self-destructive as the song goes on.”

Later this year, Dan Croll plays a headline show at London’s Village Underground on 5th October. Watch his new ‘Swim’ video below.
