Dan Deacon remixes Death Cab For Cutie’s ‘Black Sun’
Taken from Death Cab’s new album ‘Kintsugi’, the track is given new life by the U.S. producer.

Taken from their new album ‘Kintsugi’, Death Cab For Cutie’s ‘Black Sun’ has been given the remix treatment by American electronic/pop composer Dan Deacon. Deacon’s version pitches and distorts Ben Gibbard’s emotional vocals out of all recognition, the added pace and intensity counteracting the loss of the track’s original grandeur.
Dan Deacon’s latest album ‘Gliss Riffer’ came out in February this year, and he’ll be heading to the UK in June this year. Check out the full dates here and read DIY’s four star review of ‘Gliss Riffer.
Death Cab are set to play a run of three consecutive sold out shows at London’s Shepard’s Bush Empire in June (8th-10th) with additional dates in November. Check out the full November dates and stream Dan Deacons remix of ‘Black Sun’ below.
