David Bowie unveils new song, ’Tis Pity A She Was A Whore’
Hear the second new track to be lifted from ‘Nothing Has Changed’.
Next Monday (17th November), David Bowie releases his new compilation album, ‘Nothing Has Changed’, which documents the legend’s music from 1964 to 2014.
In fitting with the fifty year milestone, two new Bowie tracks appear on the compilation, as produced by Tony Visconti.
Earlier today BBC Radio 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveny premiered the second to emerge, ’Tis Pity She Was A Whore’. The track makes use of crazed sax sections, its title referencing a 17th century play by John Ford. According to Bowie, the song “acknowledges the shocking rawness of the First World War.”
It links up with ‘Sue (In A Season Of Crime)’ in previewing ‘Nothing Has Changed’. The new track’s available to download now on iTunes.
Listen to an audio rip of ’Tis A Pity She Was A Whore’ below or listen from the 2hr, 49 minute mark on 6 Music.
