Deap Vally get kitschy for ‘Little Baby Beauty Queen’

It’s not exactly a surprise to see that Deap Vally’s new video for ‘Little Baby Beauty Queen’ is a brilliantly chaotic, campy treat - their latest record ‘Femejism’ was, after all, an explosion of sonically unleashed mayhem.

Accordingly, ‘Little Baby Beauty Queen’ is a visual that mixes unsolved murder plots with disgusting plastic ornaments, drag queens, trailer parks, and (as you do) film legend Veronica Cartwright (from Alien, The Birds, and Invasion of the Body-Snatchers, among others).

Deap Vally’s Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards star in the video, too, alongside former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Trixie Mattel. Trixie may not have won her season, and her bearded Drag Jesus look on S7EP3 might have been a bit much to handle. But here, she wins all our hearts…
