On the telly
Death Cab For Cutie perform ‘Black Sun’ on Letterman
The band took their ‘Kintsugi’ cut to late night US television last week.
Excitement is mounting in the lead up to the release of Death Cab For Cutie’s new album and now, they’ve added fuel to the fire by performing live on late night television.
Taking to the stage on The Late Show with David Letterman last week, the band gave viewers a preview of their forthcoming ‘Kintsugi’ in the form of its first single ‘Black Sun’, but not before giving Letterman a brief insight into the meaning of the album title.
The brooding, building track gets taken from the band’s eighth album, which is due for release on 30th March through Atlantic Records, and follows on from 2011’s ‘Codes and Keys’.
Check out the band - who are joined by new members Dave Depper and Zac Rae - performing their new cut below. You can also check out their upcoming touring plans, which include two shows in London, beneath the player.
