Demob Happy unveil terrifying new ‘Succubus’ video
Lesson learned: Don’t mess with this Brighton force.
Earlier this year, Demob Happy took up residence in a Brighton cafe, built themselves a studio and thrashed away into eternity. The rest is pretty much history, these four fast becoming one of 2015’s brightest hopes. A lot of that’s down to ‘Succubus’, a quick-witted, twisted and turning slab of garage rock that’s been quickly embraced by sweat venues across the country.
They’re yet to truly reveal what twisted shit they get up to in this studio of theirs. ‘Succubus’’ snarling, spitting venom needs to stem from somewhere, after all.
Chances are it looks something like this - a gloomy room, a source of terror bathed in red. Practically slurring their way into the deep unknown, ‘Succubus’’ accompanying video comes off like a drunken, frightful source of destruction.
Demob Happy’s ‘Succubus’ 7” single is out now. Stay tuned for forthcoming UK dates.
