Disclosure pay tribute to Fabric with a DJ set in their kitchen

The world-famous London club has been forced to close after Islington Council revoked its licence.

Disclosure have shared a two-hour DJ set from their kitchen, to pay tribute to London nightclub Fabric. It features Guy Lawrence from the duo, alongside their pal Jimpong.

The world-famous dance institution was forced to close this week after Islington Council revoked its licence. The club has the right to appeal this decision. The ruling follows two drug-related deaths at the club and a voluntary closure in August, and it has been made despite a petition signed by 150,000 people, urging for council to keep Fabric’s doors open.

Disclosure are among swathes of musicians critical of the decision, along with Jon Hopkins, Four Tet, and The Chemical Brothers. As The Independent reports after obtaining council documents, the closure of Fabric seems to form part of a long-orchestrated plan to shut the venue.
