DIY Weekly, Xmas Special 2013 - Feat. Charli XCX, Chvrches & More
Also featuring Los Campesinos!, Biffy Clyro, The National, Fall Out Boy & lots more.

Dressed in dodgy jumpers and scoffed up on mince pies, Weekly’s going to lie down on the sofa for a bit (three weeks) before getting back into action on 6th January. Don’t worry: our last issue of the year is a bumper-packed, 90 page Xmas special.
Fronting the festivities is Charli XCX(mas), a popstar with a number 1 single to her name and an inspired second album up her sleeve too, apparently. While DIY drenches itself in a bucket of mulled wine, she’s staying sharper than ever, ready to make 2014 all hers.
As well as looking ahead, Weekly thinks back to the past 12 months; the brilliant songs; the almighty egos and the surreal MPs’ recommendations.
We round up our 100 (yes, 100) tracks of the year, featuring Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire and some lesser known but equally recommended entries.
There’s also the big matter of our 2013 Readers’ Poll. Thousands of you voted - find out if your selection of best album, worst lyric and best hair made the (ahem) cut.
Inside, there are interviews with The National, Fall Out Boy, Foals, Paramore, Chvrches, Everything Everything, Deap Vally and Biffy Clyro.
And just like a second helping of roasties, we’ve also spoken to Drenge, Yuck, Los Campesinos!, These New Puritans and Summer Camp about how 2013 was for them.
Looking at all the above, quite frankly we deserve a rest. As usual, the DIY Weekly Xmas special is free, available to read online and on Santa’s most asked for gift, the iPad.
It’s all yours, for exactly zero pence. Grab the issue on iTunes to download the iPad version, or simply read the whole thing on Issuu online, right now.
