Dizzee Rascal Makes Comeback At Newcastle’s Evolution Festival
Grime star ends lengthy sabbatical at North Eastern event, despite crowd crush fears.

Yesterday (3rd June) saw Dizzee Rascal make his live return following a lengthy hiatus.
Playing at Newcastle’s Evolution festival, his comeback was almost over before it began owing to an unexpected crowd crush necessitating the plug being pulled halfway through only the first song. With the issues subsequently diffused, the Tyneside crowd were treated to a greatest hits set featuring the likes of ‘Fix Up Look Sharp’, ‘Bonkers’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’.
The appearance comes off the back of news that the grime star’s forthcoming album (the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Tongue N Cheek’ ) will feature collaborations with Calvin Harris and Erick Morillo.
2012 has so far also seen a new year’s day mixtape surfacing online.
