Dizzee Rascal Unveils New Video For ‘Bassline Junkie’
Having unveiled his first new material since 2009, ‘The Mixtape Vol. 2’ is a taste of what’s to come in 2013 for Dizzee.
He may not have had an entirely quiet 2012, what with his performances at the likes of the Parklife Weekender and Evolution Festival, but it wasn’t until the final days of the year that we heard any form of new music from Dizzee Rascal.
Releasing his latest mixtape - quite aptly titled ‘The Mixtape Vol.2’ - on 26th December, the free offering followed-up his initial 2007 volume, and also doubled as the first new material to come from the East Londoner since his last studio album ‘Tongue ‘n Cheek’ was released in September 2009.
Containing six new tracks, the new mix is, in his words, ‘all new material and just a taster of all the good new music we got coming in the new year!’
Now to celebrate the start of 2013, he’s happened to supply us with a visual clip to accompany one of the tracks, ‘Bassline Junkie’, which you can watch below. Speaking of the video in a statement, the rapper said: ‘The ‘Bassline Junkie’ video is gonna have people in stitches. 1 love!’
